At the heart of our company lies the story of a Florida lacrosse player with a dream to rise to the highest echelons of the game. Mikey Berkman’s aspirations were no different from any ambitious athlete's – to excel, to compete, and to play Division I lacrosse at the highest level.

While Mikey’s peers in traditional lacrosse hot-beds had the privilege of training under seasoned mentors and coaches. Mikey found himself in a different landscape. Growing up in the Orlando area, Mikey and a couple friends were driving six-hours a weekend, to train with the best coach they could find in Florida. That coach was Casey Powell, a Syracuse Lacrosse legend, who ended up helping Mikey get recruited to Syracuse University. All of the long hours and car drives paid off.

Out of this personal struggle emerged a vision – a vision to redefine Florida's lacrosse narrative. Mikey, along with his co-founder, Justin Spencer, recognized the need for a platform that could address this gap head-on. Justin is originally from the Boston area, and has excelled within the Rollins Lacrosse program. They envisioned a space where aspiring players, like Mikey & Justin once were, could access the very coaching and mentorship that had been elusive.

Thus, 407 Lacrosse Training, LLC was born – an initiative with a clear purpose: to provide Florida's lacrosse talents with the opportunity to receive top-tier coaching and guidance, irrespective of their location. A Florida lacrosse player’s personal journey illuminated the path forward, inspiring a company dedicated to empowering players to achieve their dreams.

We're dedicated to providing personalized coaching and mentorship that we were fortunate to have during our own formative years. Through our training programs, we aim to cultivate not just exceptional athletes, but leaders and ambassadors of the sport. We're here to nurture talent, foster growth, and elevate the game of lacrosse in Florida.
